Transalp – From St. Anton to Lake Como

For all mountain bike fans, the Arlberg offers something new, exciting and above all unforgettable. We would like to present this to you today and whet your appetite for a new adventure: With the bike 350km in 8 days, it goes through forest and gravel paths, asphalt side roads, trails and short pushing passages. All the routes surrounded by the dreamlike panorama and the destination is Lake Como. In total 6100 Altitude, that’s approx. 500-1270 metres of altitude difference per day and 43-82 km per day. The Transalp Engadin takes you through the most beautiful regions of the Alps and will remain unforgettable in your memory from the first day onwards. Popular and especially well-known places like Ischgl, Livigno and St. Moritz are on the way. Here, it’s not sporty but top scenic performance that’s at the top of the list. The route is also suitable for “normal bikers”, i.e. a mountain bike experience of a special kind.

The tour could run like this:

Day 1: Arrival St. Anton am Arlberg The tour begins with your arrival in St. Anton. Spend the night with us in the Hotel „die Arlbergerin“ and recover in a quiet location until the tour starts tomorrow.

book hotel now for tour start   Day 2: St. Anton – Ischgl, Daily output are 43 km und 1130 hm After a sumptuous breakfast from our breakfast buffet, we set off. In the direction of the Heilbronner Hütte (2320 m) start high alpine. On the lonely ascent to the end with a pushing passage, the dream descent leads to Ischgl. Stay overnight in Ischgl and gather strength for the next day. Book accommodation in Ischgl now   Tag 3: Ischgl – Nauders, Daily output are 54km und 1200 hm The next day begins with a ride on the cable car, up to a dreamlike 2760m high. The main ridge of the Alps is conquered and it is uphill and downhill. You will reach the day’s destination Nauders after today’s 54km. Once you arrive in Nauders, you look forward to resting, as you also spend the night here and gather strength for the next day. Day 4: Nauders – Sta. Maria, Daily output are 51km und 980 hm The fourth day also starts with a cable car ride, it goes up to 2200m. Via Plamort to Lake Reschen, with the legendary sunken church tower. Discover here a medieval church with bell tower rising out of the lake. This monument in Italy is a remnant of a sunken village from 1950. Today’s day ends with the arrival in Sta. Maria, after 51km you have clearly earned the rest. Day 5: Sta. Maria – Livigno, Daily output are 47km und 1270 hm The overnight stay in Santa Maria ends with refreshments at the breakfast buffet and today’s destination is Livigno. Too remote for hikers, Val Mora presents a unique backdrop and vegetation. From the Lagio di Cancano to the Alpisella. Finally, it’s down to Livigno. Arrived in the Italian Alps, you are in for another overnight stay. Day 6: Livigno – Sils, Daily output are 55km und 1000hm The penultimate day begins, you reach Pontresina via the Forcola di Livigno, the Val Minor and a high alpine trail. Until you arrive in Sils, you are accompanied by the landscape around St. Moritz. With small mountain lakes, rustic mountain huts and varied trails, you will arrive at your destination for the day Sils ever closer. In Sils you stay overnight. Day 7: Sils – Comer See/Mezzola See, Daily output are 82km und 500hm On the last day of the tour it’s all downhill towards Lake Como. You pass waterfalls, cart paths and small bridges until you reach the border of Italy. Bella Italia lies ahead of you. After today’s 82km you have finally made it. Feel free to think about how much you have cycled in the last 7 days. You have covered a total of 350km to now celebrate your finish at Lake Como. Enjoy the Mediterranean climate of Lake Como and the sunset with an Aperol Spritz in your hand. Day 8: Today, you alone decide whether you want to stay only one night or extend your stay. The tour ends today and a few days of relaxation are not out of place here.     This tour requires one overnight stay each day, which you book yourself.   book online
