Steve Brooks & Ute Heppke
Steve Brooks an Englishman who has made a base camp and Austria his home for over 16 years. Steve is a renowned expedition kayaker achieving Adventurer of the Year Award in 2013 by Canoe and Kayak magazine. He has kayaked on 5 different continents making many first descents throughout his travels. As a kayaking instructor for over 21 years Steve has continued to develop his coaching style and techniques. He is a fully qualified British Canoeing instructor and speaks fluent German (dialect), English and Spanish. Steve’s love for kayaking is infectious.
Ute Heppke is a local girl who since learning to kayak here has achieved so much in the past 11 years. From the Indian Himalayas across to the Peruvian Andes to name just a few destinations, Ute has completed numerous first descents and expeditions becoming Austria’s foremost female expedition kayaker. Ute is a British Canoeing instructor and with her unique style of coaching and endless patience you are sure to have a fantastic time improving your kayaking on her home rivers!!
In the Winter Ute works in the Zuers Ski School teaching skiing and taking clients off-piste, touring and heli-skiing.
